The Partners

Margi Briggs-Lofton offers clients 25 years of experience in non-profit organizations, with a specialization in marketing, events management and production, and volunteer development.. During her staff association with institutions such as Dance Theatre of Harlem, American Ballet Theatre, Natural Resources Defense Council and The New 42nd Street, Inc., Ms. Briggs-Lofton has created and implemented short- and long-term marketing campaigns in major U.S. cities and has established and led volunteer groups nationwide. She has produced a wide array of events throughout the country, ranging from seminars to movie premieres and gala performances to benefit auctions and concerts, and has worked with New York and national corporations, international celebrities and artists, and prominent social figures. Ms. Briggs-Lofton has also marketed overseas tours, and is fluent in French with a strong working knowledge of German, Russian and Spanish.

Abby Schaefer brings to SimpatiCo. over 20 years of experience in fundraising and organizational development in not-for-profit groups. Working with organizations and donors in the fields of the environment, the arts, public broadcasting and education, she has raised tens of millions of dollars in operating and capital funds. Specializing in donor and funding strategies and program development, Ms. Schaefer has launched and expanded fundraising programs as a development manager for local and national organizations with budgets ranging from $1 million to $30 million, including WNYC Public Radio, INFORM, Inc. and the Natural Resources Defense Council. She has extensive experience in designing and implementing successful development programs, creating effective Major Gifts programs, training fundraising staff, and working productively with donors, Boards of Directors, and other volunteer groups.
